Every year, Hog Roast Broadstairs is invited to cater for a selection of festivals across the country because our buffet menus always go down a treat! This year, we were contacted by Alister who organised a music festival based in Kent. He hired our team to provide our classic hog roast menu for the occasion, as it is a simple menu, but it is packed full of flavour. Not only does it taste delicious, but the smell of the roasting pork is so mouth-watering that it means we always have people lining up to grab a plate. Our catering manager Matt was more than happy to get involved with this event and to serve our menu on the day.
The Hog Roast Broadstairs team arrived at the venue in the morning, giving us plenty of time to set up our station and get to work on the menu prep. Our catering would be on offer to the guests from 12:00pm until 3:00pm, so we needed to ensure that we had more than enough for everyone to enjoy. We began by slow-roasting the hog and making sure that it was packed full of natural juices and flavours. Once ready, it was expertly carved and served in fresh bread rolls, along with sage and onion stuffing, crispy crackling, and homemade applesauce. As well as the rolls, we also served chips and a green leaf salad to create a balanced and delicious meal with something for every guest to enjoy.
