After working as a nurse since leaving high school, Laurel, now aged 53, has received numerous promotions and job transfers over the years. Each promotion has meant a celebration with her husband and two children, but this one has earnt her a party with her close friends and family. Laurel is now the head nurse on her ward and has achieved the role that she has been striving for since the beginning! To celebrate this, her husband Pete reached out to Hog Roast Canterbury to arrange catering for an upcoming party taking place at their home. Pete invited 50 of Laurel’s friends and family and her daughter was in charge of organising the music for the event, leaving Hog Roast Canterbury to take charge of the catering!
On the day of the party, the Hog Roast Canterbury team arrived at Laurel’s family home with plenty of time to prepare before the 7:00pm mealtime. We began by slow-roasting the hog and ensuring that it was cooked to perfection, as well as preparing the BBQ pulled jackfruit for meat-free guests. The mains were served with sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling, as well as homemade chips and a selection of salad dishes. Overall, this created a tasty and varied menu, with plenty to go around the guests. Everyone had a lot of fun at the party, and we made sure that Laurel was the first in line to get her delicious meal!
