Theatre Hog Roast Shepherdswell!

Andy, the director of a local theatre company, contacted us recently, asking about our different menu options for a one-of-a-kind private dinner and show event. From a golden, spit roast fowl to a superb hog roast Shepherdswell, or a full three-course meal with hors d’oeuvres served first, we have a huge variety of choices available depending on your wants, needs and, of course, your budget. In this instance, Andy thought the highlight of a hog roast Shepherdswell would actually be ideal for his function, as the play was titled Disco Pigs! Whether or not the play was about pigs, we didn’t actually know but we still thought it would be a fitting feast.

We have catered many corporate events over the years, from team-building stuff to trade shows and everything in-between, and we have cooked for theatre companies before, but a private play with an accompanying hog roast Shepherdswell would be a first for us. Andy asked us to provide our basic yet impressive pigs in buns – floured bread rolls filled with delectable slices of freshly roasted pork and bits of crackling and then smothered in our very own apple sauce and stuffing. We cook at your venue from start to finish, unlike many other hog roast catering companies, as we believe that meat cooked and served fresh tastes better. The meat we use is always locally sourced and of a very high standard and all the other ingredients we supply are fresh and of great quality too.

Today came around and we headed off to the private event in the morning, so that we would be ready to feed the guests at lunchtime. Andy showed us to the grounds where we could set up the gazebo, serving station and hog roast machine and we got started on prepping the meat. The food would be served pre-show, and within a few hours the guests started to arrive and we served them drinks and a few nibbles while they awaited their main meal. Once it was ready, I cut away lots of salty pieces of crackling, which set off the juicy meat slices well, and we began to fill the rolls and hand them out to the queued guests. We satisfied their hunger with seconds and more and then they were off to watch the play and we were discreetly clearing away.
