Hog Roast Blean’s latest event was a very pretty autumn christening. The clients, Brandon and Abi were having a party following the christening of their son Mason.
The event was taking place at the church hall that adjoined the church, so that immediately following the service they and their guests could celebrate the little boy. The clients wanted just a simple buffet for their guests, and as all 12 guests had similar tastes and dietary requirements the clients were able to have a specific menu with no vegetarian or vegan alternatives.
The main attraction at the buffet was sure to be the BBQ 100% beef burgers and chefs own gourmet sausage. Both of the clients absolutely loved the sound of these, so Chef Jake was tasked with making sure that there was plenty! Alongside this there was a large basket of soft bread rolls, a bowl of shredded cheese, as well as platters of coleslaw and salad. Finishing off the buffet was a large pile of piping hot skin on potato wedges, which could be served loaded if the guests wished.
This mighty buffet was created by Chef Jake at the venue for the christening party. He arrived several hours before the 4pm serving time, this gave him plenty of time to set up the cooking equipment and get to work on creating all the dishes from scratch.
When Clients Abi and Brandon led their clients into the hall to enjoy the buffet and start the party everything was ready to be enjoyed. Not only had Chef Jake set out the food on the serving table, but the Hog Roast Blean team also provided the crockery, napkins and cutlery for this event.
After the buffet had been thoroughly enjoyed Catering Manager Jake quietly tidied away. He took with him all the rubbish from the event, which he would later dispose of responsibly.
The clients were thrilled! The buffet had been exactly what they had wanted, and their guests had all had a great time and plenty to eat! It was a job well done.
