Situated in the picture post card village we are used to wonderful surroundings and couldn’t have been more pleased when we were asked to host the village spring show, the event happens every year in April locals flock together and show their produce it is in fact like a huge market and all proceeds are donated to local charities. We were asked if we could make a barbeque and we were keen to show off our new barbeque plate! We brought with us one hundred percent pure beef chunky burgers nothing added but pure beef and our award winning finest pork sausages with the meats we decided to make some honey onions and mushrooms we also brought along some of our home made sauces tomatoes, chop and BBQ and our good friend the baker made us some delicious buns sesame seed and crispy top we also chopped lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes and avocado for a lovely spring fresh salad and we prepared some potato skins and made some lemon, yogurt and parsley dip we were ready BBQ nice and hot just waiting for the crowd and we didn’t have to wait too long! Soon we had a long queue and the serving began fast and furious the food was disappearing fast. Hog roast Hire too decided to donate the proceeds of the day to charity we charged two pound each for our burgers and made three hundred and seventy pounds and donate it at the end of the day the proprietor of the event was so pleased with our donation and she said we had made the largest donation of the day not that it made any difference as big or small all donations were greatly received. We had a great time and we love doing charity events and do a fair few each year we do like to put something back into the community and feel it is the least we can do to be honest as our community is very important to us and everyone who lives there are like friends to us hog roasting is a popular event in our village and its all down to us, we are proud…
