For wrestling fans, the bank holiday Easter Weekend was also one of the biggest weekends on the calendar: WrestleMania weekend. A two-night event this year held in Las Vegas, WrestleMania is something of a Mecca for wrestling fans as the biggest wrestlers and superstars in the industry go head-to-head in the biggest matches of the year. Even though for us Brits it was an event that meant staying up until a 4am finish, it is always worth it, especially when you have the likes of John Cena looking to make history as a record breaking 17-time champ.
But of course, when it comes to WrestleMania, you are always going to need a good dose of snacks to make it through the 4-hour long marathon. Thankfully, for wrestling fans here in Maidstone, Hog Roast Maidstone were on hand to deliver a good meaty punch!
With the midnight start time it was not quite feasible for the Hog Roast Maidstone staff to actually attend and provide a full catered service for our customer’s WrestleMania events, but what we could do was come to a compromise wherein some of our team would deliver some foods beforehand that could be kept or reheated come kick-off. Hog Roast Maidstone got used to doing drop off deliveries during the pandemic, so we have the capabilities to do so where necessary. That may mean our WrestleMania fans may not have had a whole hog roast present and cooking for their watch events, but what they could have was our heated trays of pulled pork prepared earlier that evening from one of our signature hog roasts. The pork should have been able to stay warm for a while in its container, but it is also easy enough to heat up if needed.
As it is wrestling, we also made sure to have plenty of American style snacks from our southern slow roast menu. Roasted chicken wings, mac and cheese, our Texan brisket, sticky pork ribs and the like – foods that are just the fuel needed for the biggest night of wrestling in the year!
