Busy With A Stream Of Jobs..

What a month it’s been for Spitting Pig Kent, from beginning to end I’ve been busy with a stream of hog roast jobs.

Only last Friday for example I was catering a spit roast pig for 100 people. The occasion? A wedding reception set in a scenic, beautiful garden. And what a reception it was, to get to such a lovely garden wedding reception and be greeted by a roast pig – does it get any better?

The Saturday immediately after it was business as usual as I travelled with a team in spite of the heavy rain to a charity event by Help for Heroes. Help for Heroes have done some magical work, especially in recent years, for British servicemen and women and I was honoured to be able to lend a helping hand in a small way by being a hog roast chef for their charity fundraiser and, hopefully, helping them to pull in even more donations for our brave soldiers. The hog roast was enjoyed I’ll tell you that much, so hopefully we did our job and our presence their paid off and did some good.

Immediately after that Spitting Pig Help for Heroes event was another wedding reception and this time it was for double the number, a grand total of 200 people. It was another wonderful, exciting event and one I was glad to have been invited to, even as a hog roast chef. The spit roast food created marked the occasion brilliantly, we’ve already received a glowing testimonial and will be adding it to our website soon.

The next day, Sunday, was a 70th birthday party with spit roast turkey and spit roast pig on the event menu. The 70th birthday party had 70 guests and much more in the way of spit pig pork rolls.

Sunday carried on with a second event this time catering a hog roast at a country beer festival, excellent to be involved in and beer and roast pig is a winning combination let me tell you.

There’s more. On Monday we then catered at another festival, this time a pork and beer festival. A pork and beer festival – what a genius idea. There was even more people than at the beer festival the day previous and being a pork festival too it was a great day for Spitting Pig, we got to show off our talents and hog roast skills to people who knew good pork. That made the feedback and reactions all the better, for people at a pork and beer festival to say I made one of the best hog roasts they can remember having was something else. It ended a fantastic weekend on an even more fantastic note.

I can only hope this month will be as fun and busy as the last.
