In my opinion a Hog Roast Rochester birthday simply cannot be beat! One of our recent customers, Harry, certainly seemed to agree with that statement as he had booked us in to cater at his birthday family gathering for the fourth year running! Here at Hog Roast Rochester a lot of our business comes through repeat customers and recommendations so we love nothing more than doing a good job and being asked back to cater for someone again.
This year, Harry told us he wanted something a little bit different. In previous years he had gone for our classic Hog Roast Rochester rolls. These rolls are stuffed with layers of your meat of choice, topped with crunchy crackling, homemade apple sauce and a dollop of sage and onion stuffing. Although Harry told us he simply drooled at the thought of one of our hog roast rolls he thought he owed it to us to see what else we had on our menu and so decided to book in a ‘Southern Slow Roast’.
The ‘Southern Slow Roast’ menu is one of our newest additions and encompasses choosing three different meats that we prepare in our own special marinades and roast ‘low and slow’ over hot flames for several hours. Harry told us he had a hard time making his choice of meats but in the end he went for Cajun Spiced Whole Roast Chickens, Fall Off The Bone Louisiana Sticky Pork Ribs and Creole Pulled Quarter of Spiced Lamb. What a mouth watering combo! We would be serving the meats up with sides of Memphis Style Crunchy Coleslaw, homemade Mac ‘n’ Cheese, a delicious Greek salad and some grilled corn cobbettes that we would be smothering in butter.
With the menu decided we were all set for Harry’s birthday as we packed up our hog roasting machine and set off for the event…
