Wedding Catering By The Professionals At Hog Roast Maidstone!

Some months ago, Charles and Lulu asked Hog Roast Maidstone to cater their wedding day. They were planning an informal, intimate affair, with just close friends and family members invited, and they wanted a simple yet tasty menu to be a highlight of the day. Our famous pigs in buns would be just the ticket for their main course, and the hog roast centrepiece would look, smell and taste amazing. To make our pigs in buns, we prepare the meat on-site at your venue so it’s as fresh as can be, and then we roast for hours on end, until we get a moist and tender inner of pork slivers and a crispy, golden outer, with plenty of salty crackling. We add pieces of the meat and crackling to fresh bread rolls (though we can also use wraps), add our homemade delights of apple sauce and sage and onion stuffing and then it’s up to you if you want to add condiments too before devouring.

Hog Roast MaidstoneIn addition to the buffet-style main course, the couple wanted a sit-down starter of homemade chicken soup and crusty bread rolls, as well as a dessert served alongside their own wedding cake. We have all kinds of options if you want several courses served, or if you need sides, or even waiter-served canapés and drinks, and when it comes to desserts we have a selection of delicious handmade ones that finish off a meal beautifully. For theirs, Charles and Lulu decided on our scrumptious profiteroles.

On the day of Charles and Lulu’s wedding, our Hog Roast Maidstone chef and team members set off to the local hotel venue while it was still dark outside. With a lunchtime service in mind, that meant we had to be there several hours before, in order to prep the meat and start it cooking. While most people were still asleep, our chef scored the meat all over, added lots of water and salt, and then it was sizzling away until 12pm.

By the time the couple had said their vows and everyone had arrived at the hotel to celebrate, Hog Roast Maidstone had made plenty of lovely food and many guests declared it to be a major highlight of the day – just as Charles and Lulu wanted.
