Joe and Piper have been dating for almost five years and have a lovely home together in Kent, complete with their dog and two cats. The only thing that Piper thinks is missing is an engagement ring. To celebrate their fifth anniversary, Joe is organising a meal with friends and family, which will include a surprise proposal! None of the guests or Piper will be expecting this and Joe is so excited to finally make Piper’s dream come true. The event is taking place at a beautiful function room near their home and Hog Roast Anvil Green has been hired to provide a delicious catering menu for the occasion. Our manager Matt was tasked with creating the perfect menu for 30 guests to enjoy and it was decided that our classic hog menu would be ideal.
In preparation for this event, the Hog Roast Anvil Green team will arrive at the venue in the morning and begin to prepare the dishes on-site. We will start by slow-roasting the hog and allowing it to cook to perfection for five hours. Once ready, the pork will be expertly carved and served in fresh bread rolls, alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. Additionally, we will be serving gourmet coleslaw, corn cobettes, homemade chips, and a tomato and mozzarella salad. Overall, this will create a delicious and varied menu, with plenty for everyone to enjoy.
