Just because the weather has turned doesn’t mean the wedding season for 2026 is quite over yet. At Hog Roast Edenbridge we are still just as busy with your various wedding events, including anniversary parties, engagements, wedding fairs at our partner venues to prep ahead for 2027’s wedding slate, and of course your special days themselves.
Last weekend saw the latter come to Hog Roast Edenbridge, as our expert team of caterers headed out to a sensational venue filled with 100 of the most glamorous and friendly guests, all joined together in one excellent celebration of loving matrimony for friends and family. To mark the occasion, our bride and groom of course needed their very first meal as Mr and Mrs to be the best, which is why they came to Hog Roast Edenbridge to order up our signature hog roast dining experience.
Our head chef Matt was the one tasked with bringing this special dining experience to life. His first course of action was to get our whole hog prepped and sat atop the spit to cook over the better part of the day. This also gave the guests something of a spectacle to enjoy in anticipation of their big meal, as our authentic hog roast looks exceptional cooking in the traditional and fiery spit style. In that time Matt could also prepare our assortment of sides, including a fresh tomato and mozzarella salad, sage and onion stuffing, crispy crackling from the roast, fresh fries, sweet potato fries, mixed salad, creamy slaw, a veggie alternative in our grilled veg and halloumi skewers, and even an addition of chicken nuggets for the kids in attendance. Having something for all guests is so important to the Hog Roast Edenbridge and we know that a hog roast is not always something for the kids, so having this nugget alternative was a great compromise.
Our dining, as ever, came out exactly as expected – stylish, delicious, brimming with flavour. Guests couldn’t get enough, which was just as well as there was plenty for them to go around a few times on this wonderful special day well served!
