Hog Roast Croydon may be based in Surrey but we often cater outside of the county and even further afield if needed. We have franchises all over the UK and we are all so busy that we regularly help each other out. Plus it’s always great for our team to venture to new places, like recently when we were asked by Dillon and Lisa to cater their event at the County Cricket Ground in nearby Beckenham, which is in Kent but is not far away at all – just a few miles down the road.
The County Cricket Ground has more than one fabulous space that they hire out for corporate events, large private parties, and wedding receptions. The stunning, modern Main Suite is located in a new building in the grounds and has a lovely covered terrace overlooking the cricket ground and has views towards London. Plus there’s an adjoining room called the Syndicate Room and on the same floor is The Long Room, which has terrace seating. Then on the ground floor, you’ll find the main cricket pavilion, which also overlooks the cricket ground and has a fenced-in outside space. Whatever kind of event you’re planning in this area, the County Cricket Ground has plenty of options for you and your guests.
For Dillon and Lisa’s event, Chef Sam and the Hog Roast Croydon team were asked to cook our popular Menu 3, which features a fresh, slowly-roasted hog, served with crispy, salty crackling, and homemade apple sauce and stuffing. Also included is a selection of floury bread rolls (or wraps if preferred) so that you can make pigs in buns, as well as our chef’s choice of three freshly-prepared salad dishes and for this particular event, Sam would also be cooking a whole salmon, too. The 125 guests would certainly have plenty of our delicious, homemade food to munch on.
After cooking for several hours and serving lots of hungry guests, Dillon and Lisa thanked our Hog Roast Croydon team for helping to make it all come together on the day and we were more than happy to hear that they loved our slow-roasted hog and all the other fresh food we supplied, saying they thought our food was amazing.
