The Hog Roast Aylesham team were in it for the long haul at the last wedding reception we catered for when we were asked to provide not only a magnificent wedding feast for 100 people, but to also rustle up an evening buffet for everyone too!
Catering Manager Jake and his team of expert wedding caterers arrived at the outdoor venue several hours before the 6pm service so they had ample time to freshly prepare every dish on the menu and ensure both meat options-a classic hog roast and tender spring lamb- were slow-roasted to melt-in-the-mouth perfection ready for when the guests arrived!
Here at Hog Roast Aylesham, we love catering for outdoor wedding receptions and the marquee that had been set up for this event for the ideal backdrop for our elegant alfresco menu! As well as two of our fabulous slow-roasted meats, the bride and groom had also selected tomato and basil and a classic Caesar salad, along with new potatoes, chips and our homemade creamy coleslaw. For the vegetarian guests, we were asked to provide some tasty grilled veg and halloumi skewers, served with pitta bread and tzatziki dip and as always, every dish on the menu was made from scratch at the venue using only the best locally sourced ingredients!
Both the setting and the food were everything the happy couple wanted for their special day, and all of the guests loved the sophisticated yet sociable spread we provided for them! As an added bonus, the weather was on our side and it was a lovely sunny evening in a very picturesque spot. What made it even better was that the fun didn’t stop at the end of the main meal and as the bride and groom and their 100 guests celebrated on into the night, we kept everyone refuelled with some of our moreish handmade sausage sandwiches!
It was a very successful reception with some great food and a lively atmosphere from start to finish and the Hog Roast Aylesham team enjoyed every minute of it!
