Beautiful Wedding Food Served By Hog Roast Sittingbourne

Kent - canapes4Hog Roast Sittingbourne has catered some lovely wedding receptions and breakfasts over the years, both formal and informal occasions, some with only a handful of guests and some with hundreds, and in all kinds of locations. We catered at a particular location recently that will certainly take some beating, however, as it was simply stunning, a fantastic place for a romantic celebration such as marriage.

The Dreys is an ancient woodland wedding venue and it even has a dreamy, sweet-sounding address – Squirrel Wood on Rumstead Lane in Stockbury. It’s licenced for both legal ceremonies and woodland blessings, has on-site accommodation that can sleep up to 50, and can be found in an area of outstanding natural beauty in Kent. This place could probably make the least romantic person on the planet change their mind! The venue is based in 80 acres of private woodland and there are so many different options for your wedding day there as you get exclusive access to the entire site, including the stylish marquee with wooden flooring and its own lighting.

For a wedding meal for 100 guests, Hog Roast Sittingbourne was asked to prepare, cook and serve our Wedding Menu 3 of a hog roast centrepiece as well as lamb with mint sauce, both buffet service, to be devoured a while after a selection of our canapés would be served by another on-site catering team.

Kent - canapes3 Hog Roast Sittingbourne arrived at the gorgeous venue hours before the food would be served, as it takes hours to roast the two meats to perfection. Once we had prepared both, and set them to cook slowly, we could take in the wonderful surroundings and it was a real breath of fresh air. Inside the marquee, it was decorated simply but beautifully. Even the fire pit was decorated well, with the bride and groom’s initials, and featured comfy seating and cushions.

Our team created several delicious canapés and they were served at 3.30pm, including our mini beef fillet in Yorkshire pudding with horseradish dressing, chicken kebabs, smoked salmon blinis, and halloumi skewers, and, as always, we really outdid ourselves on the excellent presentation.

By 5pm, it was finally time to impress and satisfy the bride and groom and all their guests with the two tasty main courses.
