If you thought that just because the summer is over the wedding posts would slow down at Hog Roast Bexhill-on-Sea, think again! We’ve kicked straight into the autumn with a very much ‘as you were’ approach from the summer, as the weddings have continued to come in thick and fast so far in this early September period. From the bank holiday weekend to this first weekend in September, you wouldn’t think that the summer wedding season was over at all!
That comes largely down to just how busy the summer season actually is for weddings. There are only so many venues in Kent, and all the most popular ones get snapped it very early for the summer. Everyone wants their special date in the summer, which means of course that not everyone can. The options are either then to wait another year for the next summer season, or to try and grab a slot where it gets a little “quieter” in the autumn. As we are seeing right now at Hog Roast Bexhill-on-Sea, that latter option is very popular.
If our team figured they could take it easy once the summer was over then they’ll have to rethink those plans. We’re just as busy once again, as this past weekend our team headed into town to cater for a very special wedding. As far as our services and wedding events go, this was a standard day out. Our head chef Matt knew that the classic hog roast menu would be the way to go for this wedding, as it has been for countless others this year. With 110 guests to feed, even just one of our hog roasts would ensure there was plenty of food for everyone to enjoy seconds if not thirds too. There’s no need to skimp on the portion sizes when even 110 guests can enjoy massive helpings of fresh pulled pork, sage and onion stuffing, crispy crackling, fresh fries, mixed salad, creamy gourmet coleslaw, tomato and mozzarella salad, and even grilled veg and halloumi skewers or BBQ pulled jackfruit for our vegetarian guests in substitution of our pork roast.
