Well it wouldn’t really have been a final summer wedding season weekend (and bank holiday) without there being one last summer wedding for the road. All summer long the Hog Roast Broadstairs have been checking the calendar daily to see what our events are for each and every weekend. The answer just about every time? A wedding – or at the very least a wedding related event, like an engagement party, a stag or hen do, a wedding fair with our partnered venues, wedding anniversaries, etc. Of course the final weekend in this very busy summer season would once more have us utilising every one of our wedding catering skills.
Wedding catering is unlike any other catered event. With such importance on the day and the experience of it, we know always that our services have to be at their very best. We’re not just there to facilitate a very basic need for an event – to make sure guests are not hungry — we are there to help shape the day and create a very special experience for all. That is what our wedding dining always endeavours to do, and we take all kinds of routes with our dining to get there.
For this very special event we had the works. With a wedding reception we find it best to kick off with something light but impressive to help welcome guests in and set the vibe nice and early. For this event, the answer was our antipasti platters arranged with the finest Italian meats, cheeses, artisanal breads and zesty dipping oils for a burst of colour and flavour right as the celebrations begin. It pops on our grazing table, becoming almost a decoration unto itself.
Thereafter it was a classic Hog Roast Broadstairs hog roast buffet, with a few added additions to ensure everyone was well catered. Hog roast carvery finely done by our expert chef for the adults; gourmet sausages in finger rolls for the kids. Going along the buffet line, everyone could then be served accompanying salads, slaws, roasted new potatoes, and even desserts of profiteroles and chocolate torte with the aid of the Hog Roast Broadstairs serving staff.
What a way to close things out on a fantastic summer wedding season!
