Our wedding service from last week here in Guston exemplified just how big a Hog Roast Guston wedding service can go. Working alongside our wedding customers for months prior to the special day, head chef Matt devised an extensive catering feast that covered just about every part of our wedding dining services and food prep skills.
The day began with a selection canapes and welcome drinks, all served by the Hog Roast Guston service teams as guests made their entry to the reception. Starting a reception this way sets a great tone for the rest of the day. Guests immediately know that they are going to be well tended to by their caterer, and our canapes give just a small bitesize glimpse into the excellent tastes to come through the rest of the day too. Chef Matt had prepared a good rotation canapes to keep coming out fresh, allowing the party to settle in nicely and keep guests going until the main event. We had pan seared fillets of beef served in mini Yorkshire puddings with horseradish cream, beer batted mini fish and chip cones, roasted halloumi and tomato crostini with caramelised onions and salsa, and a selection of mini pizzas finished with cracked black pepper and basil oil.
A welcome opening with much more to come, as the 150 guests then sat down for the dinner speeches, toasts, and then the opening of the Hog Roast Guston buffet. As we said, Hog Roast Guston went all out here, so there was options of both hog roast and rotisserie cooked whole range chicken as meaty mains (with sage and onion stuffing, crispy crackling, and chipolata sausages accompanying), grilled veg and halloumi skewers and BBQ pulled jackfruit as veggie/vegan alternatives, and further sides of red cabbage slaw, tomato and mozzarella salad, Caesar salad, and roasted new potatoes. For the kids, an addition of chicken nuggets, chips, and mac and cheese too!
A massive feast, which guests and the wedding party took to with delight. Our thanks from all at Hog Roast Guston for choosing our dining for your special day!
