The wonderful thing about being a wedding caterer is getting to see and share in all of the unique and brilliant ways that people want to celebrate their special day. So many wedding events take the Hog Roast Birchington team out to all kinds of exceptional venues throughout the country, while others make use of what they have by doing up their own homes, their own gardens, to celebrate their special day in perfect comfort, surrounded by all those that matter most.
At Hog Roast Birchington, we luxuriate in the variety that wedding catering delivers us, and the incredible wedding held here in Birchington this past weekend was yet one more perfect example of this.
Rather than splashing the cash on an expensive venue, our wedding hosts this week simply made the most of their own home and went all out with the wedding dining and celebration instead. Ordering for Hog Roast Birchington’s most popular wedding dining package, it was to be a brilliant wedding ceremony held at home followed by a perfect hog roast dining experience to open up the celebrations.
Head Chef Matt and the Hog Roast Birchington team worked hard through the morning and early afternoon to having everything prepped and ready to go for our mid-afternoon service. The main was of course to be our signature hog roast – a perfect dish for the most luxurious and the most comforting of events. Cooked in the authentic spit style via our very own mobile hog roasting machine, this is a dish and dining experience made for the special occasions. As ever, the pork roast this past weekend came served along with its usual backing of sage and onion stuffing, the crispy golden crackling which comes out of the spit roasting process, and refreshing apple sauce to add even more flavour and freshness to each serving. Guests could then move down our buffet table to be further served helpings of a light mixed salad, tasty tomato and mozzarella salad, gourmet slaw, roasted new potatoes, grilled veg and halloumi skewers, and perfectly grilled marinated chicken thighs.
The 60 guests and our wonderful bride and groom took to the Hog Roast Birchington buffet spread with aplomb! A perfect capper to an incredible and special day for all involved!
