Hog Roast Blean – Beginning and Ending May with our Wedding Catering at Hog Roast Blean

Hog Roast BleanMay has been an excellent month for the Hog Roast Blean team. Any month that begins and ends with two bank holiday weekends is already a winner, but May has seen the return of the wedding season in earnest, along with some brilliant weather to go along with it.

The summer is typically when the wedding season kicks into full flow. But as we all know now that the summer gets earlier and earlier each year, the wedding season seems to kick into higher gear earlier along with it. As an event caterer, that is perfectly fine by us! Like most caterers, the wedding season is by far our most favoured periods of the year, and May has been an excellent month for them this year!

We began the month during that first May day bank holiday weekend with a special wedding service, and, at Hog Roast Blean, we have now ended the month the exact same way – it feels almost poetic! This past weekend the sun came out while head chef Matt and a couple of the Hog Roast servers headed over to an excellent venue here in Blean, where we served for a lovely bride, groom, and 150 of their friends and family on a truly special day.

And a special day such as this deserves a special menu to go with it. It doesn’t get much more special than our signature hog roast, cooked and served in the traditional spit style fresh at the event. To add to the juiciness, the flavour of every bite, our pork roast also comes served with fresh apple sauce, crispy golden crackling, and our homemade sage and onion stuffing. Our veggie/vegan alternative was the next best thing to our signature roast: our BBQ pulled jackfruit. Both options came served with mixed salad, gourmet slaw, and plenty of bread rolls and wraps.
