At Hog Roast Finglesham, we love being part of life’s most memorable celebrations, and on Saturday 2nd August 2025, Catering Manager Matt and his team had the pleasure of providing a stunning Hog Roast in Finglesham for Amy’s wedding at the charming Crown Inn, The Street, Finglesham. With 40 guests in attendance, it was an intimate and joy-filled occasion, made even more special by the mouth-watering food on offer.
For this celebration, our clients chose our popular Southern Slow Roast Menu, a fantastic choice for a wedding feast. Guests were treated to a trio of succulent meats: melt-in-the-mouth BBQ pork butt, juicy Texan 24-hour beef brisket, and flavour-packed Cajun spiced whole roast chickens. Each dish was paired with soft bread rolls and wraps – including wholemeal and the option for gluten-free – making sure everyone had a plate full of delicious food.
To add even more excitement to the spread, we served a trio of signature sauces, each with its own kick. The smokey sweet BBQ glaze proved a hit with the crowd, while the fiery Cajun hot pepper sauce tested the bravest taste buds. For those who enjoy a deep, rich flavour, the legendary BBQ sauce was the perfect match.
No wedding menu would be complete without options for all diets, and our homemade vegetarian and vegan skewers went down brilliantly. Packed with fresh seasonal vegetables, they were served with wraps, a cooling tzatziki dip, and a punchy sweet chilli sauce – a flavoursome alternative that left nobody feeling left out.
Guests also enjoyed a range of comforting and fresh sides, including indulgent mac & cheese, a crisp seasonal green leaf salad, and a hearty helping of mixed sweet potato and traditional fries. Everything was served onto eco-friendly bamboo crockery with wooden cutlery, combining rustic charm with sustainability.
Served at 5pm, the feast was the perfect way to set the tone for an evening of dancing, laughter, and celebration. For Amy and her new husband, this was a wedding meal to remember – a relaxed, flavoursome, and sociable dining experience that reflected their perfect day.
