Quinn has been dating his girlfriend Lauren for over 5 years now, with their first meeting taking place at university. Since then, their relationship has grown and they have been discussing future plans, including marriage. Quinn wanted to do something that would really surprise his girlfriend, so he decided to host an event to propose, but to tell Lauren that the event was being hosted to celebrate his work promotion. This way the whole thing would be a huge surprise and she would never see it coming! For the catering, he contacted Hog Roast Aldington and spoke to our catering manager Matt to find out which menu he recommended. After looking through our catering options, it was decided that our formal dining package would be ideal, with the proposal taking place during the dessert course.
The formal dining menu began with a delicious starter, with guests enjoying a classic soup of the day with fresh bread. Despite being simplistic, this menu went down a treat and was enjoyed by all.
Following this, we served a delicious Hog Roast Aldington main course, with the star being a delicious slow-roasted hog. The sliced meat was served with all of the trimmings, including sage and onion stuffing, roasted potatoes, seasonal vegetables, and homemade gravy.
For the dessert course, we served sticky toffee pudding and profiteroles. While the guests ate their desserts and chatted, Quinn took this moment to propose to Lauren and everyone was over the moon when she said yes!
