Hog Roast Egerton – Twins Christening

We headed north on Sunday to cater for a Christening of twin boys with Hog Roast Egerton! The babies had only just turned 3 months and we were super excited to see them.

Christening’s seem to be a regular on a Sunday morning and we love them, catering for 60 guests and the event was being held in the church hall so not far for the guests to travel after the service. We arrived nice and early and the tables were already set and decorated with blue ribbons and bows. We set up the machine and placed a nice piece of beef on the machine to slow roast and as the meat cooked we began to peel and chop a huge mountain of potatoes. We drizzled the potatoes in oil and sprinkled them in herbs and spices and set them aside to roast later we then prepared some root vegetables to roast drizzling them in a little oil and sprinkling them in herbs. We then started to place an assortment of buns and wraps in baskets on the table they were still warm, as we had baked them at the crack of dawn as we always do.

Our chefs then set about chopping slicing and dicing the salad vegetables and placed them in huge glass bowls and then it was time to make the dips and dressing which we always make fresh from scratch. We made a lovely garlic dip and a nice spiced dip and a tangy dressing for the salad. The beef was cooked as the guests arrive and they were just in time to watch the carving. Our chef carved the beef and placed it on serving plates and the guests were all saying their mouths were watering watching the carving! We told the guests to tuck in and they did they placed the beef into bus and wraps and enjoyed a helping of spicy diced roast potatoes and vegetables. Others had salad and the baby boys just lay in their pram unaware what all the fuss was over. The twins parents couldn’t thank us enough for the Hog Roast Egerton and we said it was our absolute pleasure and we headed home where we were met by a snowstorm!

Seems there is a lot more of this bad weather to come.
