The Romney Marsh Railway is one of the world’s smallest public train stations in the UK, known as Kent’s Mainline in Miniature” and the most visited tourist attraction in Kent. New Romney station is unique and provides our visitors with lots to see and do. Outdoor seating enables you to sit back and watch the work of a Heritage Railway in full swing whilst enjoying some tasty food. Within walking distance of the beach, the railway provides you with an amazing landscape and a diversity of entertainment choices. The railway provided the perfect location for this hog roast Hythe family party, where on this occasion, Anthony’s wife – Liubov has catered for an intimate Chinese family gathering of 18 guests at the Romney Hythe and Dymchurch Railway. She arrived on location around 7 am to set up the hog roast Hythe gazebo under which she has prepared and cooked a slow roasted Suckling Pig, that was a complete success among the guests especially with the mesmerising smell coming from our tent.
After making sure all bread rolls are cut for the guests and enough stuffing has been made to cater to everyone, she set up the serving tables ready for serve the golden crackling and the freshly made coleslaw, which were definite favourites among the guests.
The hog roast Hythe was served with freshly made Apple sauce, Sage and Onion stuffing to a Soft Floured Bread Roll, with a loose leaf salad and a homemade coleslaw. The feedback from the guests was amazing and everyone said that the suckling pork was the best they had ever eaten. The food was a real hit and everyone enjoyed it. We were thanked by the family and they have assured us they would be booking us again.
