A lot of folks have passed through the doors of Hog Roast Ashford over our near thirty or so years of event catering. Some staff stay with us for a longtime, some join just for a summer or two in between their studies, and some come to us to learn on the job and to learn some culinary skills before moving on to more fixed kitchens elsewhere with a more steady style of working.
Each leaves their mark on the Hog Roast Ashford name and are always welcomed back with open arms at any time. So, then, it was a joy to be able to cater a very special event for a very special customer this past weekend as the Hog Roast Ashford team joined a former server of ours for their very own wedding.
Jamie, who previously worked with Hog Roast Ashford across 3 summers during his university studies before then returning in a full time role for a further 2 years after graduation until he could pick up a grad job, got married this past weekend. Knowing friends here at Hog Roast Ashford and knowing that our foods are the best there is when it comes to wedding dining, he of course got back in contact to see if we would do him the honour of catering for his special day.
Of course we were more than delighted to. Not only are we helping an old friend, we are also getting to be there for one of the biggest days of his life and add our own little touch to the day, too. There are many events and weddings that we have catered for in our time, but few are as special than the ones for good friends of ours -especially when it is for the biggest event of all in life, your wedding.
Knowing that Jamie used to love sneaking a few bites of the leftovers of our lamb roast when he was here, it was the first thing on the menu along with our signature hog roast. There was no need to sneak bites this tie, Jamie, because the whole thing was yours to enjoy how you liked it!
