Christmas is a beautiful theme for a wedding, and Hog Roast Elham’s latest Clients were Sophie and Dylan, whose wedding was based around Christmas!
The loved up Clients worked with the Hog Roast Elham team to set up their special wedding catering package. As the theme for their wedding was Christmas, it came as no surprise that the couple wanted the menu for their wedding reception to be a full Christmas dinner. The team was only too happy to give the Clients exactly what they wanted!
As part of the catering package, the Hog Roast Elham team provided Chef Peter to cook the food at the venue. They also provided china crockery and cutlery for the 25 guests to use, and at the end of the service the waste from the catering would be disposed of safely by the Hog Roast Elham team
Chef Peter arrived at the Winter Wonderland venue (a sports hall that had been transformed with fairy lights, fake snow and lots of Christmas trees) several hours before the 5pm serving time. There was plenty of space for him to set up the cooking equipment and serving table before he could get straight to work on producing all the delicious dishes.
When the guests started to arrive at 4pm they were greeted with the beautiful sight of the Hall and the beautiful scent of the buffet, which was ready for 5pm on the dot.
There was a slow spit roasted turkey, served with fresh cranberries and delicious sage and onion stuffing. There was also plenty of pigs in blankets on offer for the guests to tuck into. Alongside these meat offerings there was a vegetarian whole roast salmon. Accompanying this was platters of perfectly prepared, piping hot seasonal veg, with a selection of sauces and dips or gravy for the guests. Finishing off the buffet was a basket of soft gluten free rolls, and a large tray of warm new potatoes in an herb butter.
The Christmas meal went down a treat with the guests! And Clients Sophie and Dylan were very pleased! It had been everything they had wanted and more, their wedding reception was a great success.
